It's almost that time again...
Wedding Season!
I LOVE Spring. Love the flowers, the sunshine (even though I am in So Cal... I still consider our winters cold! Because come on... 50 IS cold!), and of course- WEDDINGS!
I actually don't think I have any weddings to attend this year though. Boo!
Anyhoodles, you might have a wedding {or two} to attend this year, so I wanted to share a simple yet gorgeous gift!
A TOWEL CAKE!
So simple, and so stunning. Simply purchse the towels off the Bride's registry {or if she hasn't registered for any, pick a neutral color} and make a cake with them!
The bottom layer is 2 regular size bath towels, the middle layer is 2 hand towels, and the top is 2 wash cloths!
You can decorate it to match the theme of the wedding like this one
{Beach theme- I wish I would have taken better pictures. The topper is 2 surfboard keychains for the bride and groom. There are shells tucked in all around it and shell neckalces drape each layer.}
Or you can just make it with the wedding colors like this one!
(ignore to food in the background. This was taken pre-blog!)
{again, wish I would have taken better pictures. I had jewels and pearls around each layer, and flowers from the wedding section of Michaels tucked into a few places on each layer}
I brought both of these as Bridal Shower Gifts, but they would make a great Wedding Day gift as well!
And I promise you- the Bride will be in LOVE!
**Alternate ideas- you can wrap the bottom layer of towels around a bottle of champagne, so when the Bride opens it up- there is a special treat waiting for her! *wink

ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I especially like the idea to tuck something inside. Perhaps a kids "cake" with a bottle of bubble bath inside, along with bath net sponges, rubber ducky, comb and brush...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great idea.
